Among the lots in San Giorgio’s September s sale are a fine pair of over and under percussion pistols By Carlo Columbo in Milan. Other fine guns in the sale include and Italian Brescian pistol signed Lazarino and Garatto circa 1660, a beautiful French cased pair pf percussion dueling pistols by Caron, Paris. A rare Italian model 1844 officers carbine with automatic priming system “la Marmora”, a German Wheelock gun circa 1680 and a pair of boxlock blunderbuss pistols with flick bayonets by Roussett Turin.
Edged weapons in the sale include and early estoc, a north Italian knightly sword circa 1300, a profusely decorated ottoman khanjar with Damascus blade, several shamshirs, a presentation Sardinian saber, a German katzbalger and fine French smallsword circa 1770.
There are many other lots in the sale including amour, accoutrements, flasks, daggers and militaria. San Giorgio are also holding a smaller sale on the 12th Click on the image for a link to the sale.
