Rock Island Auction Company’s premier sale will be held over three days, starting December 6th. Among the world-class classic collectible American firearms to be offered are an outstanding Presentation Cased "Colt Baby Paterson" No.1 Pocket Model Percussion Revolver, a documented factory presentation "JTC" serialized Colt Single Action Army Revolver in .44 Russian, presented to U.S. Sub-Inspector John T. Cleveland, an rare black powder Colt "Pinched Frame" Single Action Army Revolver, an iconic and historically significant C Company No. 81 U.S. Colt Model 1847 Walker Percussion Revolver, and an outstanding historic documented Civil War Presentation Cased Colt Model 1860 Army Percussion Revolver with a factory presentation inscription to Dr. Milhau from Colt Vice President R.W.H. Jarvis.

Outstanding offerings among the sporting shotguns and rifles include a superb trio of Pedretti-signed and engraved J. Purdey & Sons 28 Gauge Round Body Trigger Plate O/U guns, a factory engraved Boss & Co. O/U .410 Bore Assisted-Opening Sidelock, an Anja Dammenhayn signed, relief game scene engraved, and gold-inlaid Westley Richards hand detachable droplock dangerous game double rifle in 500 Nitro Express, and a cased pair of Westley Richards double rifles in .577 Nitro Express.

A fully transferable FN Manufacturing M240 GPMG leads the military collectible arms. This category also includes a U.S. Army Test Trials Serial Number 70 Colt Model 1907, a rare unserialized World War II Singer Manufacturing Co. Prototype/Presentation Model 1911A1, a Cadillac-Gage Stoner 63 Modular LMG, and a scarce Daewoo marked "Maremount" M60. The sale also includes many classic Western, Civil War, and Revolutionary War arms, as well as unusual lots like the "Ultra Set" of consecutively numbered 11 Winchester Model 70 rifles. Antikvity Praha's next auction features an exceptional selection of antique arms. Headlining the sale is a late 17th-century Austrian silver-mounted presentation sabre with fitted case, estimated between €22,000 and €30,000. Other notable edged weapons include a late 19th-century Austro-Hungarian presentation sabre with an earlier blade and a Pappenheimer rapier.

The auction also boasts many early firearms, such as a remarkable South German sporting Wheelock rifle, a striking Baby Le Mat two-barreled centerfire pistol, and a rare factory-engraved Volcanic pistol (Smith & Wesson No. 2) with an iron frame.

A wide range of flintlock pistols is available, including a pair by Hans Perztman of Freistadt, a pair of officer's pistols by Nicolas Noël Boutet, a pair of late 18th-century French silver-mounted naval flintlock pistols by Royet Frères, and a pair of Belgian silver-mounted flintlock pistols by H. Meunier (mentioned in Liège in 1764). Also featured is a cased pair of flintlock pistols by Pierre-Nicolas Boutet, made in Versailles.

Among the percussion pistols, the catalog includes a cased pair of English saw-handled percussion dueling pistols by John Blanch, a Bohemian pair by A. Gutwirth of Louň, a cased pair by Houllier Blanchard of Paris, and a pair of very early double-barreled percussion pistols by Boucheron-Pirmet of Paris.

Probus Auction’s sale of November 25^th includes a wide range of Swedish, European, American and other arms from around the world and from a variety of historical epochs. The auction uses a new platform so bidders will need to create new passwords at www.probusauktioner.se . There are several fine pairs of pistols offered in the sale including the pictured pair by Starbus Stockholm circa 1700 and a second pair with finely chiseled steel barrels and locks by Beckers Maestricht also circa 1700. A pair of very attractive inlaid wheellock pistols are included in the catalog in addition to a later matched pair of formidable flintlock “manstoppers” by Mason, London. A pair of Swedish M 1850 cavalry pistols with detachable stock are also offered.

Among the longarms in the sale are a fine Ottoman gold inlaid and silver clad miquelet rifle, a Colt revolving percussion rifle, a mint Swedish M 1820 carbine,  a late 18^th C. Danish cavalry carbine and an early 18^th C .Austrian wheellock rifle. American percussion revolvers offered include a Rogers and Spencer revolver and a Remington new Model Army.

Early edged weapons include a rare Swedish Cavalry sword M 1717 variant, a near mint French plug-bayonet C 1700, a Swedish/North European sabre C 1640 with perfume bottle pommel.
