ROCK ISLAND REGIONAL SALE, OVER 1000 LOTS, JAN 3rd
For those interesting in antique guns who may not want to shoot their original flintlocks this cased pair of Washington and Lee commemorative flintlocks will make an excellent substitute. They are among 100 other lots being offered on Jan3rd by Rock Island Auction.
The range of arms offered covers collector, target and sporting interest. Among the handguns offered are a Colt 1911 made in 1918 marked “US Property”, a Coonan 376 automatic and a classic Colt Python. Rifles in the sale include a Smith enterprises M14 with Hart barrel, an early AR15 SP1 and an early production Ruger No1 single shot in 243 Win. A Beretta s686 over and under will cross the block as will other fine sporting guns like the Benelli Black Eagle in 12 gauge and a Belgian Browning superposed 20 gauge.
