Antikvity Praha's next auction on June 7th includes a wide selection of antique arms in addition to fine art. Among the highly collectible pistols offered is a Baby Le Mat revolver by Rocour Delsa & Cie in Liege with a nine-shot revolver cylinder as well as the shot barrel. Several pairs of pistols, French, Austrian and Belgian from the 18th and 19th centuries are also offered, among them a beautiful, cased set of target guns by L. Collombert C. 1850. Other handguns of note include an iron-framed S&W Volcanic #2 pistol, a flintlock breech loader with Lorenzoni mechanism by H W Mortimer, and an pair of French officer’s flintlock pistols by Nicholas Noel Boutet.
Among the long arms in the sale is a very rare revolving shotgun by Cesare Rosaglio in Venice. Also offered are a Colt 1855 revolving rifle and a carbine, a fine sporting rifle by Johann Haberda in Frauenberg C. 1890, and several English blunderbusses with spring bayonets.
Edged weapons in the sale include a superb 18th C. silver mounted hussar sabre, an Austro-Hungarian presentation sword in case, late 19th C., and a silver mounted Karabela. Click on the image for a link to the sale.
